Scroll for all the details!

Price update and new inclusions

The cost of a 45min appointment will be $105 per session with any therapist, starting 1st January 2022. Here's why:
We are heading into 2022 with a fresh approach to therapy - still delivering our successful pain-relieving hands-on therapy, but with additional focus on client education and movement function. In our clinic, you will get more time learning how to move better so you are in control of your pain levels day to day, as well as strength coaching in the gym so you can get rid of your imbalances for good!

This means every client will also have the opportunity to get on our app with corrective exercise programs delivered specifically for their complaint, as well as getting access to extra info such as 'how to' videos for all their rehab needs. It's a one-stop-shop for pain relief for the new year!

We also have HICAPS installed, extra rehab equipment for sale and some other goodies ready for clients.

mask and vax rules

Mask Rules: There are no current Qld Health requirement for masks in allied health settings so masks are not required. However, if you arrive wearing a mask, we will wear one too - no questions asked.

Vax for Therapists: Our massage association (Massage and Myotherapy Australia) has advised that as per Queensland Health mandates, all therapists and staff working for Pain Free Fitness must be vaccinated to continue work after 17 December 2021. Luckily for us, we are all double-vaxxed already!

Vax for Clients: We have been advised that all clients, both vaxxed and unvaxxed, are able to access our rooms inside the gym. We have carefully considered the implications of our staff working with unvaxxed clients and at this stage are continuing to accept all clients irrespective of vaccination status. However, this is an ongoing conversation and we will advise if anything changes.

Immunocompromised Clients: If you have an underlying health condition, we understand you may be taking many precautions to reduce your risk of contracting Covid-19. As such, we encourage you to book the first appointment of the day before any clients have been in our enclosed environment. We welcome you to contact us regarding organising this for you.

hicaps is here

We (finally) have a HICAPS machine for on the spot health fund claims from January 1st, so bring your health fund card! If you don't have a card, you can still pay upfront and claim back through your fund.

tristan's new role

Tristan has accepted a job offer as a trainer and assessor for the Australian College of Fitness and Personal Training. This means he won't have any face-to-face appointments available (booo!) but will still be available for online consults and programs (yay!). Click here to send him a message to book. He is also going to be mentoring our new staff members so you know you are only getting the best when you come to Pain Free Fitness.

New staff member

You have all been complaining about Kathy being booked out all the time, so we have finally found an amazing Myotherapist to work with us! Emma Hughes has several years experience in massage and has now completed her Bachelor in Health Science (Myo) and is ready to rumble! Her appointments will open from the start of March and she is registered with all health funds for rebates (check your policy for Myotherapy).

What is Myotherapy, you ask? Very similar to remedial massage but with a more in-depth understanding of mechanical function, with treatment that aims to relieve pain by restoring muscle length and strength balance around a joint.

Emma has impressed us with how quickly she can help active people with pain and injuries, so we know she is going to be a great asset to the team. You can book appointments with Emma via the bookings page as usual from the end of January, meaning nearly double the number of available appointments. Hooray!
