Kathy hill - remedial massage therapist
Most massage therapists will do a physical assessment and help to reduce joint pain.
But very few will be able to clinically identify the neural patterning dysfunction that is the cause of your pain, and use techniques to get rid of it for good.
With a solid understanding of how the mechanics of each joint affects your whole body, we can find the cause and 'remove the thorn' at a neurological level.
This makes a permanent change to your mechanics and gets rid of your pain for good.

Hi! I am a fully qualified Remedial Massage Therapist with nearly 13 years experience in the massage and fitness industries. I work with both athletes and the general public to reduce pain and mobility restrictions associated with exercise.
Often the problem stems from an underlying protective mechanism that the body has initiated in response to instability around a joint. The brain signals muscle spasm to lock down the joint to prevent injury, and this results in changes to the overall mechanics around the joint and across the body. It starts as a feeling of tension in one group of muscles, and can end up causing pain at that joint, or somewhere else entirely.
My assessment focuses on the cause of your pain - so don't be surprised if you come in with neck pain and we do some work on your hips! But once the cause is dealt with, we can more easily melt away the symptoms and send you off pain free - and in the knowledge that the pain won't be coming back.
If we identify that there is a mechanical cause or an underlying weakness, once you are pain-free I will refer you to Tristan for movement coaching. This will make sure that the spasm-tension-pain cycle is broken for good.
