Covid safety plan

COVID-19 took it's toll on 2020, and undoubtedly is here to say for a long time to come. We all need to do our part to keep the infection rate under control, and this is what we are doing at Pain Free Fitness to keep our clients (and ourselves) safe.

For us, these things aren't new (we have always aimed to prevent other infectious diseases such as influenza) but we are extending our precautions for this pandemic. We have undertaken the CovidSafe Infection Control Training released by the Australian Government, and been guided by our industry association and both state and national government.

your responsibilty

In addition, we also ask that our clients are respectful of both us and our other clients. If we need to close the clinic because of infection, everybody misses out!
  1. Please use the hand sanitiser when we offer it to you.
  2. Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
  3. Stay 1.5m from others as you come into and out of our clinic.
  4. Try not to touch surfaces, eg leaning on the front counter, and let us open the doors for you.
  5. Be honest about your answers when we ask you the screening questions for COVID-19.
  6. And PLEASE, PLEASE reschedule if you have had even the smallest of cold or flu symptoms in the last week before your appointment.

A note about masks

We do have a supply of disposable masks available for client and therapist use in the clinic. These are NOT for use by clients if they have cold or flu symptoms - those with symptoms will be immediately turned away and advised of the nearest Fever Clinic for coronavirus testing as per current Queensland Health guidelines.

However, we do understand that remedial massage in particular occurs in very close contact for an extended time, and some clients seeking help for pain may be concerned by this high risk environment. If you would prefer, we are happy to have both yourself and your therapist wear a mask for the duration of your treatment. Please ask!
