continuing education for massage and myotherapists
Pain Free Fitness delivers cutting edge services developed over years of education, combined with thousands of hands-on hours in the clinic. We have worked side by side with elite practitioners while treating predominantly fitness fanatics and athletes throughout our careers, and we continue to keep our finger on the pulse of both recent research and industry trends.
We work closely with our Franchise Partners to deliver ongoing education and mentoring that is more comprehensive and targeted than they can access elsewhere. Franchise Partners have access to all our tips and tricks for the most effective treatment outcomes that have evolved through learned experience.
The formulas we teach you for assessment, hands-on treatment protocols and corrective exercise programming do not look like the basics from an Allied Health textbook. Instead, they all have their origins in high level sport. We don’t start with the injury and work up; we start with elite performance mechanics and break each part down to see what has gone wrong. When we understand the important elements of performance for that individual client and their chosen sport, we can better assess the range of motion restrictions, strength deficiencies and regional coordination patterns that we can influence to induce healing.
In providing our Franchisees this type of ongoing education, they can truly support their active clients and seamlessly progress them from the treatment table back to their sport or activity.

why do we include business coaching?
If this business is mostly 'done for you', then why would you need business coaching? At the end of the day, a Pain Free Fitness franchise is YOUR business, not ours. Each franchisee will have different goals, different skill sets and different ideas they can promote to their local fitness and sporting community within the Pain Free Fitness framework. Also, each franchisee has ultimate responsibility for their own success.
In this way, we work with you in a coaching capacity to help you define your vision for your business including how it will fit in with your lifestyle or family commitments, your professional interests and your desire for financial reward. We help you build a plan to achieve all of that, and keep you accountable to the weekly, quarterly and annual tasks and milestones that you need to hit along the way.
If something doesn't go to plan, we provide the framework to reflect and motivate you to keep moving the business forward. Business coaching is very popular in the massage and allied health industries, because let's be honest - business can be hard! We personally have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on business coaching for ourselves over the years, so we know exactly how valuable it is.
That's why we incorporate an ongoing coaching regime with every franchisee, so that you can easily tackle the business KPI's and get on with what you REALLY want to be doing: helping people with your hands and your heart.

delivering workshops
You know that running workshops can be a great lead generator, but have no idea where to start? Don't worry, we also provide scripted workshops with full PowerPoint presentations and additional printable resources, such as 'How To Train Away Lower Back Pain' and 'How to Run Further And Faster - Pain Free'. These are so popular for local group fitness facilities and sports clubs - and you can do it all without creating any content yourself! It's so easy that not even a fear of public speaking will keep you away from booking workshops.

Who are the faces behind the brand?
Kathy and Tristan Hill are the faces behind Pain Free Fitness. Together they form a perfect partnership for headlining the brand.
Tristan has competed at the national level in decathlon, powerlifting, and rugby union. He holds several qualifications including a Masters in Sports Coaching from the University of Queensland to compliment over 20 years experience in the allied health and sports industry. He has a strong belief in “paying it forward” and relishes the opportunity to help other therapists benefit from his experience to improve the overall standard of the industry. Tristan brings to the business a passion for effective movement and has extensive knowledge in biomechanics and an eagle-eye for movement dysfunction and neuromuscular patterns. He designs all his corrective exercise programs from his understanding of the fundamentals of elite performance, rather than from the old, isolated corrective strength model that does not address movement pattern dysfunction.
Kathy brings more than 15 years of experience treating joint and muscle pain as a soft tissue therapist. She has built a strong reputation for providing effective treatment for gym junkies and athletes of all levels up to national competition in a variety of sports. Kathy holds Diplomas in both Remedial Massage and Practice Management and a Certificate IV in Business Marketing. Having worked successfully for years as a sole trader and a clinic manager, she understands the difficulties faced by small business owners in the health industry and can help them overcome any challenge. Like Tristan, she has also held lecturing positions in Business and loves the opportunity to pass on what she has learned to other therapists who will benefit through their career.
